Boy Fourteen: PenHu Outlook/ Ordinary Look, Extraordinary Mind

The reason Shing serves substitute service is quite dramatic. He said, once in the college class tour by riding motorbike, he fell asleep during riding, and bumped into the pillar. What's worse, he carried at his front his bag, inside which was something sharp which pierced into his abdomen when bumping, resulting in his intestine rupture and subsequent peritonitis. Shing is entitled substitute service man because of recurrent peritonitis. Cool.
Indeed, Shing is very cool. See, he didn't smile in the photo, like most boys behave as I observe... boys interpret cool as charming and sexy. But his mind is over most boys'. He was full of repressive sentiments and philosophical deliberations as we talked. Shing has a diversity of interests, including reading books, to name some, "Relativism" and my favorite novel "活著"; watching movies, including Taiwanese Youth film "六號出口" and documentary-like motivation film "練習曲"; playing basketball or going to the gym as most sunny sporty boys do. Ladies and gentlemen, give him some applause.

OK, I didn't mean to embarrass or over-praise him. But it's true that Shing has some unaccountable temperament and composition that induce me to acquaint him. He mingles the sense and sensitivity, the latter especially rare to find in boys.... you know, when collecting together, boys always talk nonsense and make stupid jokes. But apart from this, Shing seems to have many messages to deliver and topics and elaborate. I admit I supposed boy should have all been simple-minded, and innocent. Is his specialty kinda PenHu style?
No sooner did I intend to know him more than I was dispatched to 恆春 while he came back to his islet hometown. I can't be sure whether we will meet one day or not. In such a hectic modern living, kilometers can be as far as from Mars to the globe. Farewell , PenHu boy, if only you have all your dreams come true and find your own peace in your soul. Life is a bittersweet symphony; your frailness make you attractive; life's setbacks render you a man of many tales to tell.
